For example, the Chrome password manager doesn’t work on all websites, bugs when storing multiple login details for a single website, cannot easily edit saved Chrome passwords, is a hassle to categorize and manage passwords, etc.Īs such, it is better to use a dedicated password manager like Bitwarden or LastPass. Though the built-in Chrome password manager is helpful in many cases, it is not that good compared to dedicated password managers. For the most part, this is helpful because you no longer have to remember the login information for every website. If Chrome already has a password for that website, it will offer to auto-fill the sign-in information. When the password manager is active, the Chrome browser will show a prompt asking if you want to save the password when filling in the login details.
